Ossington is a small agricultural village of around twenty cottages and houses and ten farms, with a population of less than 100.
The church was built around 1782 to 1785 in the grounds of Ossington Hall (the hall having since been demolished). The interior of the church retains many fine memorials to earlier owners of the Ossington estate.
There are two organs, one fairly conventions, and the second a rare Grade I listed barrel organ dating from 1836, still regularly used in services.
The congregation, although relatively small, represents a fairly large proportion of the village. There is one traditional Holy Communion service a month.
